Cavity Hunter — find tooth decay like a dentist

Two rounds: first search the teeth with the exam light, then read a dental X-ray. Tap every cavity — but not the harmless stains.

  • Round 1: move the light and tap the dark cavities
  • Round 2: find the dark shadows on the X-ray
  • Quick finds earn more points; wrong taps cost points

How dentists really find decay

Early decay starts as a chalky white spot, then turns brown and finally becomes a hole. At the white-spot stage it can often be stopped with fluoride and better cleaning.

Decay between teeth cannot be seen in the mirror. On an X-ray it shows as a dark shadow because the softened tooth lets more X-rays pass.

Small cavities usually need only a simple filling. Waiting until a tooth hurts often means a bigger treatment — regular check-ups keep it small.
